The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) recently released 3rd grade Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) English Language Arts results for schools across the state.

It is notable that in comparing State and District results, Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) outperformed the state in the percentage of students scoring at level 3 or above. CCPS had 60% of students scoring a level 3 or above, while the State reported 54% of students scoring at level 3 or above. Never in the last decade has CCPS performed 6 points higher than the state ELA average for Grade 3, a crucial grade for students to become proficient readers.

We are proud of the achievements of individual students, schools and the collective District performance. Despite the unique challenges of the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our District maintained focus and continues to excel in academic achievement. Ultimately, our successes can be attributed to the hard work, resilience, and perseverance of our students, teachers, parents, administrators, District staff, and strong community support.
