Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) Needs Flexibility in Funding
As we prepare for the August 2020 election, we wanted to share some important information with you.

CCPS has announced a tax-neutral referendum to be placed on the upcoming Primary Election ballot on August 18, 2020. A similar tax-neutral referendum was passed in 2008 and 2012. While not resulting in any increase in tax, this referendum will help students continue achieving success.

In order to maintain the programs and quality staff that make us an academically high-performing school district, CCPS needs flexibility to use capital dollars for operating expenses to meet the needs of students. A vote is required through a referendum in order to provide this flexibility.

If approved in August, this tax-neutral referendum will provide flexibility by adding up to .35 operating millage, while voluntarily reducing the capital millage by the same amount.
