It is always surprising how quickly time flies during the summer months. It seems especially apparent this year as we continue to navigate through new experiences. |
We are thrilled that 9,600+ students have participated in Gear Up For Next School Year! These district-created summer learning activities are designed to sustain student learning during the summer months and prepare students for next school year. It is remarkable that our students want to continue learning and are enjoying the activities. |
Parents, in the next couple of weeks, please check your email for an important questionnaire which will be vitally important in guiding staffing decisions for the upcoming school year. We are thrilled to announce the creation of our new eCollier Academy! Registration details and specifics about new locally-based, virtual learning options will be announced on July 15, along with plans for reopening our school campuses in August. We’ve spent months strategically planning for our students! |

Collier County Public Schools continues to assess our 2020-2021 school re-opening based on the plan presented by Governor Ron DeSantis and Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran on June 11th, as well as guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health-Collier. The first day of school will be on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, as previously scheduled on the 2020-21 academic calendar. The health and safety of our students and staff continues to be a top priority. Our announcement plans on July 15 will make it clear we are committed to meeting the varied learning needs and preferences of our CCPS Family. |
Please continue to monitor your email and our District website, for information regarding the 2020-2021 school year. Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility while we navigate uncharted territory during these challenging times. |

Have a great rest of the summer! |

REFERENDUM |
TAX-NEUTRAL FLEXIBLE FUNDING |
On April 21, 2020, the School Board of Collier County voted to submit a tax-neutral referendum to the Collier County Board of Commissioners for placement on the upcoming August 18, 2020, ballot. This referendum is cost-neutral, which means it will result in no tax increase. It will help maintain and improve our status as an academically high-performing district. |
