March 2021 - Volume 10, Issue 8

Message from the Superintendent

It sure does seem like February flew by at lightning speed! While we are in what is typically our academic competition season, I am #CCPSProud of our teachers and District staff for finding innovative and creative ways to continue offering these opportunities for our students. Congratulations to the winners of competitions that have concluded and good luck to the many still competing!

Along with academic competitions, our athletic programs continue to proceed safely and successfully. You may have noticed the recent debut of our monthly District All-Stars, recognizing exemplary high school student-athletes. Keep an eye out on our @collierschools social media pages or visit collierschools.com/DistrictAllStars for exciting highlights!

Our District recently held its 2nd Annual ESE Expo, this year in a virtual format! As part of Sharing the Commitment, this event offered parents an opportunity to discover the many local resources available for preschool through high school transition-aged students with disabilities. Thank you to the many community organizations that participated by providing video recordings and information about the wide array of services available for students with disabilities. The 2021 ESE Expo can still be accessed by visiting collierschools.com/ESEexpo.

Spring Break is coming up soon (March 15-19)! As we take time to rest and recharge during the break, please remember to continue practicing healthy habits. Thank you to our students, parents, teachers, school leaders, and staff members for their commitment to keeping our #CCPSFamily healthy.
