When looking for the most appropriate resources for your research, you should consider the following:

Currency

- Is the information up to date?   
Authority

What expertise does he or she have on this topic?
Who sponsors the site? Is it a university, business, organization, or an individual?
Purpose -

What is the author’s intention?
Is the writing expository or persuasive?
Who is the intended audience and what is the goal of the information?
 
       
Content -

What is the depth of the information?
Is it comprehensive and accurate?
