2-6  Develop a Thesis Statement
A thesis statement is usually a single sentence located at the end of the opening paragraph of the research paper.
It clearly states your focus on the topic and what you intend to prove.
The thesis statement is the answer to your research question.
Begin your research with a “working” thesis statement or thesis question, and refine it as you continue to analyze information and reach your conclusions.
For Example:

"The State of Florida needs laws to protect the Everglades from polluters."

“Agricultural pollution in the State of Florida is a serious problem which affects the health and sustainability of the Everglades.”

"Legislative steps are necessary to curtail devastating agricultural pollution which threatens the Florida Everglades.”
