|Message from Principal Dr. Rebecca Merhar|
" Welcome to Corkscrew Elementary School! I am the very proud principal of CES, where of Excellence is Expected! We are an “A” school, two years running. Our school’s mission is to foster a learning community where students engage in experiences that develop self-confidence and a love of learning resulting in respectful and responsible citizens. CES students show each and every day they are digital learners, global citizens and forward thinkers! This year, our school will become a FranklinCovey Leader in Me school, focusing on learning and living the 7 Habits, in order to strengthen leadership skills. Academic excellence comes from the strong partnership between the school, students, parents and community members. Students, staff and CES families continue to be the foundation and core of CES. Our dedicated and caring faculty and staff create an environment that is focused on student engagement, rigor in the classroom and innovative learning. This year marks Corkscrew Elementary School’s 20th year anniversary! We can’t wait to celebrate this with our CES Bears, staff, administration and families. There are plenty of ways to be involved in our school from becoming a PTA or SAC member to volunteering on field trips. Many special events occur throughout the year such as Fall Fest in October, Book Fairs twice a year, and STREAM Night in March. If you are interested in seeing the amazing things that go on at Corkscrew each day, follow us on Twitter @CESCorkyBear and Facebook, just LIKE Corkscrew Elementary School. If you would like to visit our beautiful campus or spend time volunteering in our classrooms, please call the school office. "
