Message from Principal Renee’ L. Hanson

School Principal " Welcome to Calusa Park Elementary, home of the Black Bears! We are excited about the 2023-24 school year. We are happy to report that Calusa Park did well on our new State of Florida progress monitoring outscoring the State in all 7 areas including 3rd – 5th grade English Language Arts, 3rd – 5th grade Math, and 5th grade Science. We are also proud to be a Leader in Me school and we will be embarking on our second year in this journey. We already see the impact on our students as they are provided more leadership roles within our school helping them build skills that support them in all areas of life. We are very proud of our students, staff, and teachers. Calusa Park truly feels like a family where we all support each other. Our students put their best paw forward and try hard to be prepared, respectful, responsible, and safe! We encourage parent involvement through our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization, SAC (School Advisory Council, becoming a school volunteer or just by joining in on our school events!
