- Preparation Saves Lives (January 25 at 6:00pm, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Administrative Center) - If you are a parent of a student with disabilities, join us to learn how you can prevent a tragedy. A panel of speakers will share information about drowning prevention, home safety evaluations, and available resources. Click here for details.
- 2023-2024 STEAM Expo (January 27 at 8:30am, Aubrey Rogers High School) - Join us for a fun Saturday morning full of underwater exploration! This event is open to CCPS staff, students, families, friends, and alumni! Tickets are just $15. Click here to purchase.
Proposed attendance boundary modifications at the elementary, middle, and high school levels are currently being considered. These proposed modifications would be effective at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. We invite you to visit www.collierschools.com/boundary to view the proposed attendance boundary modification maps and provide feedback which the School Board will consider before making any final decisions. The website also provides an interactive zoning tool and dates for upcoming Open House Meetings. We appreciate your input and participation in the School Attendance Boundary Modification process. |

At the Regular School Board Meeting on Tuesday (January 16), the Board voted and approved an amended calendar for 2024-2025 as well as the 2025-2026 calendar. We appreciate the work done by the calendar committee as this was no easy task trying to accommodate various holidays, professional development, and other considerations for student learning.

As a parent, I realize how much the annual academic calendar impacts the lives of families, so I am thoughtful of the delicate balance needed to try and make it accommodating for most of our families, faculty, and staff.

Reviewing and approving this year’s calendar made me reflect on time and how quickly this year has flown by. Is it me or does time seem to go faster the older we get? My message today is dedicated to parents of seniors. While the next four months will likely be a blur and go quicker than you want it to, enjoy these special moments with your senior. Our school district offers many opportunities to honor and recognize the class of 2024 as well as many events that will be an integral part of their final year in high school. We will all do our part to show these students how much we care and support them on their journey and encourage them beyond their years with us in the Collier County School District.

Immokalee High School

After graduating in May from St. John’s University in Minnesota, Gabe Ramirez made the 1,800-mile return to his hometown and is currently a first-year teacher at Eden Park Elementary. His principal, Chrissy Anderson, says that, “As a teacher, he gives 100% to his second-grade students. He fosters a love for learning within his classroom while empowering students to be leaders in the classroom and our school community.” Outside of the classroom, Gabe is a wrestling coach at Immokalee High School. According to Gabe, “It was always my plan to come home and give back to the community that has given me so much.”
