| March is National Athletic Training Month! We want to recognize our incredible athletic trainers for the exceptional care they provide to our student-athletes. Their role in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and emergency care is paramount to our successful athletic programs. Thank you to our Athletic Trainers for being a part of our CCPS Family!
|
| |
| This month is also Arts in Our Schools Month! CCPS continues to value the importance of art education by offering a variety of fine arts programs at all grade levels. I look forward to celebrating some of our many talented student-artists at the upcoming annual Superintendent's Art Gallery Show on April 7, 2025.

| Well, it appears that there are changes coming to pass for schools. Closing the Department of Education is one of them. The government seemingly cannot run things efficiently. I personally am for local control, as it was originally designed. All schools are not equal as we are finding out, where school starting times is concerned. |
| |
| On another note, I had a great time recently visiting schools in my district. I spoke to the students about the importance of becoming good citizens because they will be our future leaders. As President Lincoln said: "The philosophy of the classroom in one generation will be the philosophy of the government in the next generation". There is a need for them to think how important their teachers are in preparing them to become good citizens and future leaders. Also, the need for knowing where we came from as a nation. |
| |
| President Woodrow Wilson said, "A nation that doesn't know what it was yesterday, doesn't know what it is today, nor what it's trying to do. We are trying to do a futile thing if we don't know where we come from or what we have been about." |

| As the journalist Paul Harvey used to say, "Good day!" |
