Collier County Public Schools has once again earned an "A" rating for the 2025-2026 school year from the Florida Department of Education! We are one of only five Florida districts to be rated as an "A" for the last nine years. Our theme, The Power of We, and these results are a testament to what is possible when an entire community works together on behalf of children. I could not be more proud of the incredible accomplishments of our students, teachers, school administrators, District staff, families, business partners, and community members. This achievement belongs to all of us. Read the full 2026 Accountability Brief.

In more good news, CCPS proudly announces that Lavern Gaynor Elementary School (LGE), Palmetto Elementary School (PLE), and Manatee Elementary School (MES) have been recognized as 2026 Exceeding Expectations Award Schools by the East Coast Technical Assistance Center (ECTAC). Based on 2025 school-grade data, only 61 schools out of 3,437 statewide met the rigorous criteria established by ECTAC and its Exceeding Expectations Criteria Development Committee. Congratulations to the LGE Sea Turtles, PLE Gators, and MES Manatees!

It is hard to believe that summer break is already winding down, with the first day of school just a few weeks away! Our school and district leaders are hard at work preparing campuses to welcome back our students and staff. As the only A-rated school district in Southwest Florida, CCPS represents The Proven Choice for academic excellence, student opportunity, and a supportive community that puts children first.

Enjoy these last few weeks of summer, and I look forward to welcoming our CCPS family back on August 11!

As summer begins to wind down, excitement is building across Collier County Public Schools as we prepare to welcome students back for the 2026–2027 school year. Our schools have been hard at work throughout the summer preparing classrooms, campuses, and programs to ensure every student has a safe and successful start.

The first day of school is Tuesday, August 11, and now is the perfect time for families to review transportation information, school start times, supply lists, and other back-to-school updates. Taking a few moments to prepare now will help make the first day a positive experience for everyone.

I want to extend my sincere appreciation to our teachers, principals, support staff, maintenance teams, and district employees whose dedication throughout the summer has made these preparations possible. Their commitment reflects the pride we all share in providing outstanding educational opportunities for every student.

As a School Board member, I remain committed to supporting academic excellence, student achievement, school safety, and strong partnerships with families and our community. Together, we can ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

On behalf of the Collier County School Board, thank you for your continued support of our public schools. I wish all of our students, families, and employees a wonderful finish to the summer and look forward to an exceptional school year ahead. Go CCPS!
